I was drawn to nursing over 16 years ago by my passion to help others. As my role transitioned from ICU nurse to nurse practitioner, the way I’m able to help people has also changed. As a nurse practitioner, I love building patient relationships and educating patients about health and wellness. I was drawn to aesthetics because I believe it’s a great way to empower patients and improve self confidence. I love being able to give patients the opportunity for self care and customized treatments.

I started my journey in health care as a trained nurse at the age of 21. Over the years, I have had a rewarding career in emergency medicine, critical care, and flight nursing where high acuity care has helped me realize the importance of preventative care. At Health by Design we support a “look good, feel good” approach where self-care and self-esteem are held in high regard. I graduated from the Esthetician program at Central Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in November 2022. My interest in the field of skin care started when I was employed by Lancôme and saw the benefits of the products used by the clientele. Working as an Esthetician I am able to offer help to those with skin issues and allow them to feel more confident about themselves. I love being able to enhance one’s natural beauty.

I am one of the Estheticians at Health by Design Wellness. I started my journey as an esthetician a year ago at Metro Beauty Academy and It wasn’t till 3 years prior to that, that I really started struggling with my own skin. I had developed painful cystic acne and had no idea how to handle it. Looking into what could help my own skin is what really created my passion for skin/skin care. Learning about why I was having flare ups or what ingredients in products would help my own skin and make me feel confident is what really inspired me to join this field. As an esthetician I hope to help everyone who steps in my room feel comfortable, confident and most importantly beautiful in their own skin!
